I recently came across a photographic journal of South African photographer Obie Oberholzer - 'Ariesfontein to Zuurfontein : A Pictorial Journey (1988)' shot through the early 80's and fell in love with these 2 pics. Obie (who was the Professor of Photography at Rhodes for many years) is known for his brilliantly quirky 'South Africanisms' in the form of colour-saturated mid format travel documentary.
